Summary of Findings

On the CEMO service, we identified 11 WCAG issues and 7 Observations. Of these 11 issues, 7 have been classified as Medium severity ones.

Some of the key findings are:

• Issues related to screen reader accessibility:
  • Curfew updates not announced to screen reader users (Medium)
  • Status tags on form overview page not programmatically associated with form names (Medium)
  • Disabled button could be improved (Observation)
• Unexpected behaviour:
  • Error summary skip links do not correctly move focus to date inputs (Medium)
  • Radio inputs automatically filled on attempting to submit form (Medium)
  • No error message shown when an empty curfew timetable form is submitted (Medium)
• Instructions and updates could be improved:
  • Optional fields not marked as such (Medium)
  • Better identification for required questions (Low)
  • Status tag does not reflect completion state for additional documents section (Observation)
  • Download button could be supplemented with file type and size (Observation)

Note that observations do not affect the accessibility compliance score of the service. However, resolving them will improve the overall user experience of the website.
